Misery (SPOILER WARNING)

Oh my god, I just finished watching Misery. It's this suspense movie about a famous author who crashes his car in the middle of nowwhere and is saved by his "number one fan," who cares for him and seems to be kind and motherly. But, to make a long story short, she turns out to be a psychopath who killed newborn babies when she was a nurse and now wants to keep this author captive. She "hobbles" him, meaning she breaks both his feet. Graphically. Among other horrible things.

It. Scared. The. Shit. Out. Of. Me.

It was one of those deals where it's more psychological than physical, y'know? There was some gore, but it wasn't as scary as the suspense, wordplay, and overall creepiness. Misery was originally a Stephen King novel that was made into a movie. I really do like SK, but haven't read a terrible lot from him. Mostly short stories here and there, I read The Secret Garden which might have been a novelette, not sure. I plan to watch The Shining when I turn 16 with all my friends, as a coming of age ritual, due to the fact I was traumatized when my dad said "REDRUM!" in this reallllllly creepy voice. It still freaks me out.
